All the fake rock you could ever wish for ......
What a waste of space, at least a few logs or tree branches to traverse all that dead space in front of those cliffs

Aaah! Im going to have recurring nigthmares about fake rock now! a seriousy huge waste of space. Does the mound of fake rock hide anything like a house or something? because otherwise it seems all that space could of been used for climbing structures, plants and (real) rocks/boulders (meaning not a cliff).

What proportion of the whole exhibit is this? I saw it under construction and I've a horrible feeling this is most of it...

Is Colchester on the way to rename this exhibit and get some Rock Hyraxes and Klipspringers? :p

It's the new area for Amur Leopards.

in russia they live round rocky areas so they are trying to create as naturaly habitat as pos.:)

Whilst mimicking the natural habitat may important to some, I see it as a luxury. A priority for zoo enclosures would be being a useable (climbing, hiding etc) and spacious enclosure. Whilst this is an alright enclosure it could be alot better (especially if they got rid of that rubbishy rock)

I'd have to check but I always associated them more with pine woodlands than rocky outcrops.
