I see him every week taking him his birthday presents tomorrow - would have gone today but had to work late and couldn't find my gold card so will pop in tomorrow after work armed with melons, tomatoes and pineapples
Lucky you, living close enough (I presume) to visit every week. I probably go about once a month. I didn't realise you could actually take in fruit .... we've often joked about doing so (well, my 6 year old has) but assumed 'Health and Safety' would have something to say about stuff not from an approved supplier ! My daughter would love to donate fruit and then see them with it at feeding time later.
I live about half an hour away. I take donations with me almost every time I go, if you take them to the reception area (where you get gold cards etc) they will pass them on to the care team
When I did the keeper shadowing thing with Raj I took him a tub of tomatoes - he put 11 of the 12 (Tiga was allowed 1 lol) in his mouth and showed me them as he was chewing
