It was on display yesterday, so I assume it is rotated with other cheetahs. I checked the labels and there was no mention at all about Kings, and the public who were there when I arrived had no idea it was anything other than an ordinary cheetah (if you can call cheetahs ordinary).

Is there a special 'breeding-programm' to produce more King-cheetas in Australia because in y opinion it's more important to 'produce' mor 'normal' cheetas seen their endangered status ?

As far as know, there is no plan to deliberately breed Kings. If I remember what I was told last year correctly, this one is from a litter of four - both parents were normal.

This cheetah was part of a litter of four (2.2). Both parents were 'normal'. The two females in the litter were kings while the two males turned out normal.

It was on display again the following day, too.
