I really like this photo, it looks like a very attractive and inquisitive species. Are they fairly common around the zoo or Dubbo in general?
 
I've only seen them in the zoo, not Dubbo itself. They are generally not too shy around the public, letting you get fairly close. They're also noisy when in a group (especially when settling down for the night). I've seen them a few times at WPZ, and White-browed Babblers too. You just have to keep your eyes open!
 
I have a mob which lives at my place. Very chatty interesting birds. Their numbers fluctuate a lot and I was concerned mine would die out. I started with 5 and the numbers dropped to 3 before they raised a couple more chicks. They have been successful breeding again the last couple of years as I have 9 now and another group has appeared about 1km away. I am not sure if a few of mine moved or this is from another nearby colony.
