Announcement about the chimps.

has Any one ever seen the troop out side? I have never seen them any where except the night quarters or occasionally the day quarters.

I have seen them outside, though being a sort of half-covered set-up it doesn't really seem outside. It would be good if this means they will have a much larger outdoor area as planned.

How many Chimps do they have now and what is the age/sex ratio?

I'm not sure they don't have as many as I seam to remember, It was a very quick visit in and out in 2 hours, just to show support for the zoo after the wolf debacle. I had intended to get another gold card, but as I ended up leaving earlier than planned I didn't have time.
My photos show most of the chimps with one sitting alone in the next bay. I couldn't see any others.

In which case they'll have to at least change or take away the sign, as it gives 'autumn 2013' as a start date and that's past already.
