Really? A zoo the size of Colchester has nothing? No ducks, geese, pelicans or swans? Surely these are staples of any major (or minor come to that!) collection?*

I seem to remember domestic ducks and a few tired looking Canada geese and possibly Mute swans on pathways or on the Lakes in the Zoo but may be there are none now. The water looks very foul so not conducive to their good health.
Mallard sitting on rooftops? Good vantage point when looking for nest sites, or for defending territory from rival drakes.
Colchester has wild Canada Geese, Mute Swans & Mallard, the odd Domestic Goose, and a nice group of Chilean Flamingos.
Not a birdy zoo at all.
