This is actually just an African civet (Civettictis civetta) rather than an African palm civet (Nandinia binotata). Still a very nice animal, though!
I seem to remember they were kept in a cage that was only visible through another cage - possibly for patas monkeys - about where the squirrel monkeys and black-backed sakis are now.

Thanks Sooty. Do you remember also the Chimp cage which was similarly viewed through another almost, where it was double-wired with a gap in between - that type of enclosure looks awful to me. Thankfully that concept has gone from UK zoos (I think?).
