African Lions

Impressive specimens. I assume by the blond manes that they are still fairly young, yet they already have full belly manes. As they get older these are really going to be some handsome looking lions.

The one at the front might pass for a fully mature Asiatic lion already!

These two males were born at Linton Zoo in 2007. So they are five years old, and are coming up to fully grown. I am surprised that their manes aren't darker than that, but it really is extensive! Their mane is certainly a lot more extensive than their father Riziki, very interesting indeed!
