Indeed it is, and on the opposite side there is an ever larger one that contains llamas.

It seems a shame to waste such a large space on llamas, they could really utilise this space for something like the addax (although these are quite like the oryx so perhaps they want something different) in which case somehting like gaur or banteng instead.

I like llama's! But I do understand your point, but the problem with these huge paddocks is they are so big that the anaimals are just specks in the distance, so unless they make another path to get visitors closer to the animals on display it really doesn't matter what is in there.

Add to that the fact that the llama paddock is alongside the large grass car park so it'd have to be used for something fairly bold and not likely to be spooked by cars/kids etc.

And the zoo wouldn't want visitors seeing any thing too exotic for free. :)
