Great shot. I tried to photo these when I went in September but without success.
Sadly these seem to be another 'failing' species in the UK now. Cotswold have 2 males in the enclosure shared with gibbons(was Spider monkey before) and another pair(one shown above) in the old Gibbon enclosure-one of these 'pairs' are the last ones from Twycross, who no longer have them, (despite breeding to start with). 3.1 isn't a great ratio for Cotswold.
finally! a photo of a purple faced langur - i couldn't even get a good look at these guys when i was in sri lanka!
perth zoo sent a pair of PFL's to a UK zoo some years back (maybe twycross?). the only other zoo i know that has them is the colombo zoo - where again i failed to get a good look at them.
There seem to be just two groups in the UK; 3.1 at both Edinburgh and Cotswold and no others outside Sri Lanka. Only two females between these groups means they have a very uncertain future.
