No, it is on the corner of a row of exhibits and is being viewed from the "short" side of the enclosure with a resulting foreshortening effect - when viewed from around the corner it is a lot longer. This would be a lot clearer were it not for the fact the corner point is next to a structural support for the roof, with this being what I am standing next to. The wall visible behind the caiman is actually in the corridor around the corner.
