It is unusual to see an agouti exhibit outside and exposed to the elements, but the fencing is detrimental to the viewing of the animals.

it looks alright! as do many of the new exhibits at dartmoor hopefully this is a sign of things to come. i didn't realise it was unusual for agoutis to be kept outside, i've inly seen them at newquay (outside) and chester (unsure whether the macaw aviarys are exposed to outside)

I'm presuming the top part of that fence is electrified-if the animal are capable of jumping that high, why not just build a taller fence :p ?

Azaras I think.

Not unusual at all in the UK - I'm struggling to think of any all-indoor agouti exhibits (even at the Clore Pavilion they're outside these days). Agree with you on the fence though - something taller but less heavy-duty would probably have been better.

That hotwire at the front has been removed now. Makes viewing easier, but I can't help but feel it might give foxes an easier time getting some Agouti lol.
