asian otters dartmoor

The Asian small-clawed otter enclosure is basic, but it sure is large for such a dimunitive species.

There's a much bigger pool to the left of this exhibit.
Although years ago they only had this pool and about half the space.

It doesn't look too bad-maybe join the two pools up, add some more grass, it could be a better exibit, but that's just my opinion.

Join the pools up...you'd have a jolly big pool as the other one is right at the bottom ;) . Anyway, in a sense, they are already joined as a small stream connects them. I wouldn't imagine that there is enough light for grass. Although basic, I believe this to be a really good enclosure for the otters and they were having a ball on my visit.

Is that goldfish in the pond?

Seems possible, they did that with most of the moats. Not a wise plan with otters though, maybe they're leaves.
