Tapir enclosure
It doesn't tend to snow much (althought last winter was freaky) and most (all? :confused: ) tapirs across the UK dont have indoor pools

Marwell's do (or did). Can't think of any others with indoor pools.
 
Yes, the tapirs do have a much larger grassy paddock adjacent to this hardstanding and are sometimes given access to the huge capybara area below.
 
I was looking at a husbandry manual and they were saying how its important for tapirs to have swimming area all year round. So does their pond ever freeze over? Marwell's design is nice. Similar to the Detroit Zoo's indoor hippo and tapir area.
 
Judging from what is described in "Ben's Zoo" they have a huge paddock. Hopefully someone who has recently visited will confirm this.

The tapirs have access to the two hard standing areas, the paddock shown in the photo further up this discussion, and during the day they have access to a paddock which is around 4 acres which a hugh pool.
