I am pretty sure the zoo is hoping to get iguanas for the reptile house when it is finally finished. They had to prioritise with the reptile house, as there is now a classroom behind it for students who are studying an Animal Management course which they had to furbish in time for the start of the course in September. They have been very busy trying to get the reptile house finished though and it is coming along nicely.

Getting hold of Green Iguanas is not a problem there are plenty being held by animal rescue centres, that have been given up by their owners when they have got to big or in the case of some big males to aggressive to handle.
