There is only one true walk-through exhibit in North America, and it is a squirrel monkey enclosure at the Phoenix Zoo. There also might be a couple more at other, minor zoos or wildlife parks, but that is basically it. I'm not sure if I could nail down the exact reason why there are close to zero walk-through primate habitats in North America while there are loads all across Europe, but some factors might be: legal issues due to potential bites or scratches, fear of an animal attack or a human attacking or stealing a primate, illegally feeding the animals, cost due to employees watching the visitors to make sure nothing dodgy goes on, and in Europe there are many zoo enclosures where visitors can get closer to the animals and it is therefore somewhat of a trend on that continent.
There's not many zoos in the UK that don't have these. Another reason for you to visit lol.
