There were plans to build animal attractions in the courtyard, but nothing has happened as yet apart from the very good bird of prey displays.
The lawn isn't overly used so could easily hold some nice displays.
There was talk of a mediaeval-themed farmyard, which I think would work rather nicely. Though I do quite like the lawn in its way; there aren't any other areas of open space in the zoo to speak of.
