Architecturally an interesting and atractive structure. A lick of paint and a good quantity of wire netting and you have a fantastic aviary.I hope this structure can be conserved and given useful purpose.It would be a terrible shame should it prove otherwise?Does anybody know if here are any plans for his structure or have any further info?

This area houses guacano and goats.
It's one of the better Tecton buildings in the zoo, but also the one that is most in need of repair (which I don't think will happen).
Adrian, I didn't know that wolves were kept in here, I've always know it as the bear ravine, so I'd be interested to know about it's past uses as I love wolves (but I'm sure they would never return to this space again....).
tbh with a bit of work this could be used as a wolve enclosure, redo the fencing+house and block of the old doors and spruce it up done a wolf enclosure.
Yes, it was always called the Bear Ravine and housed European Brown bears. The outdoors is/was a long open grassy valley and gave the Bears plenty of outdoor space. I don't think its ever contained Wolves though.
I think the balcony structure(with dens underneath) is extremely unsafe and couldn't realistically be converted into anything else. It looks on the verge of collapse one day, to me.
Evilkittie, as i understand it, Cuddles was kept in the section of the castle moat that currently houses the sealions. I dont think the bear ravine ever held cetaceans.
