Taronga hasn't kept polar bears for many years. In the early 80's this pit and two other beside it were renovated, and a few years later they were bulldozed completely and the Marine Mammal/Macquarie Island complex was built in it's place.
Taronga has no sun bears either these days, only a lone kodiak.
