Note the sign on the cage. They keep a tally of each gecko, who it's bitten and how many times. And I'm told it hurts!
 
Do they breed them? There are so many reptiles that I didn't know we had/have in Australia.
 
PAT - taronga and melbourne particularly have awesome herp collections. i suspect in the past quite a lot came from confiscations, though i bet there are so many confiscations now much are just destroyed.

among my favorites are - taronga have tuatara and mata mata turtles, melbourne have basalisk, philippine crocodiles and 3 species of dart frog.

i just wish so many wern't listed as phase out.
 
Taronga also have Komodos and Corroboree Frogs.
 
Melbourne has an exhibit labelled for corroboree frogs but I've never seen any.
