Parrotsandrew

Chimpanzee 8th June 1996

Not sure if this is female Bella, or Cherry, but its a different chimp from your other photo which is the male Pepe. This one has the same thick, shiny coat though- a hallmark of this group.

The two females ended up at ZSL in exchange for their group going to Dudley.

The old female 'Koko' which is still at Whipsnade is an earlier offspring of (I think it is) Pepe x Cherry, and was born at Dudley. Sadly I think she is the only descendant of the 1960's Dudley group.

The Dudley's 1960's group breeding line will end at 'Koko' too. As ZSL Whipsnade have only one breeding female, it seems ever unlikely 'Koko' will breed.

It will indeed. :( Sadly the male 'Pepe' didn't breed with any of the current ex ZSL group before he died, and any other offspring from the old group(there weren't many) are long since gone. I don't think Koko has ever bred, at least not succssfully, and she's very unlikely to now.
