In melbourne Zoo's reptile house they have two quite large green iguana's sharing an exhibit with two boa constrictors (or some other big south american snake but I'm about 90% sure they are boa constrictors) and one of them (the iguanas) chases it's own tail all of the time. Most of my visits I can remember seeing it running in circles around it's enclosure.
