New Gelada

Exhibit to the left (that's me)
Do you know how many Geladas they have now- would it be, from your photos of them- 1 male, 3 females?

The enclosure looks fine though I' prefer to see it landscaped a bit- mown clear of nettles and ragwort, and maybe some rockwork piles added.

I think I saw 4 females and 1 male. However, I could be wrong as it is quite a large enclosure and overgrown in places.

I also thought it would be better if the enclosure was mown clear with more rocks added, thus better representing the wide grasslands and rugged mountains of the Ethiopian Highlands.

The rocks could be a problem though as the hillside is very steep and the fence at the base is not the strongest; beyond which is the fairground and picnic area.

Yes it is steep- there would indeed be a danger unless such rocks were securely bedded in on the level. It would need a digger to excavate some secure flat bases for them- I just think even a couple of simple one-tier 'terraces' of rocks would help make it more interesting though.
