Orang outdoor area (side view)

I've looked hard at this and some earlier photos of the orang enclosure and have seen just one orang - sitting on the ground. Do they actually use these climbing frames?

Since they renovated the indoor/outdoor areas, I have seen baby Sprout and mother outside probably two or three times. Although I have NEVER seen the large adult male Benji outside, whose outdoor area has not been renovated.:(

Are they given any food or enrichment on the platforms to give them a reason to climb?

Benji is completey surplus to them- he doesn't breed and has no partner anyway- he is just stuck there as nowhere else would want a non-breeder.

The younger male Jorong has been split from Jaz and the baby for safety as he constantly pesters the mother. That means one of them has always to be indoors as there are only two outside areas nowadays.

The outdoor area was strewn with fresh wood-wool, cardboard, hessian sacking, blankets etc. some of which was high up on the platforms. I'm not sure if they put food up on the platforms, as I'm never around during feeding times.

Even indoors, all the Orangs are most likely to be seen on the ground (especially large adult male Benji) despite them having plenty of opportunities to swing/climb.

One factor may be that the entrance/ exit to the outdoor area is on the floor of the enclosure, possibly from when the building housed gorilla and chimps.
