While I was moving this pipe I just dug out about 10 baby brown snakes came out and quickly hid in the dug dirt. By the time I got the camera out only 2 were still showing.

I have only ever see brown snakes on my place and often find them and their nests in these pipes. They all had the black head markings of baby browns and moved very quick.
Monty,
When you say nest, do they lay eggs they incubate or just lay eggs and move off or do they have life young? I assume the pipes are under ground most of the time as field drains of some sort ?
