A few months ago Dudley had an anonymous ?1000 donation to its Meerkat group. They decided to put the money towards a new desert-themed indoor area with viewing window (to the left of this image and still unfinished) situated outside the Meerkat's enclosure.
The problem is that the Meekat's enclosure is a protected Tecton structure that cannot be modified in any way and this is what has resulted.
