Dudley's Dolphin pool always seemed very shallow to me, and just looking in "Zoo!" issue no. 8 (Winter 1997) which reprinted the National Zoological Society of Great Britain's Cetacean Survey of 1972, it does say that only one part of the pool was 10' deep.
