A good incentive for people to use public transportation (which I assume is available at someplace like Taronga).
Here in the U.S., it is ironic that the few zoological attractions that charge for parking are the large wildlife and theme parks that already have the highest admission fees. (SD Wild Animal Park, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Disney Animal Kingdom). Most zoological parks in this country have free parking (including every one in my region of Arizona and New Mexico). Considering the high admission the places I listed charge, adding a parking fee is kind of a ripoff. Especially since SD Wild Animal Park even charges their own members parking! (They try to get you to upgrade to the higher "Diamond Club" membership to avoid parking fees).
Quite right Torie. I've been meaning to write something about this. Mosman Council have put them in all down Bradley's Head Road (and all along Balmoral Beach too).
