Jersey Zoo (as I still prefer to call it) is one of a relatively small number of zoos where the catering is top-notch. No soggy chips, burgers or limp lettuce, as we have come to expect in too many zoo catering outlets, but satisfying meals that exude quality. With a superb selection on the menu and locally sourced food.
Their customer service is superb too. And everything is spotless. I was impressed by the anti-gull wires over the outdoor tables - no chance of them coming down to steal your food or soil the tables. Other zoos should take note!
Absolutely- by far the best food/service in a Zoo restaurant that I know of- streets ahead of usual Zoo catering. Somehow Jersey attracts a rather different clientelle to most zoos- something to do with its island location no doubt.
The only place in a zoo with food that good that I've seen, is at the cafe overlooking the oceanarium at Shedd Aquarium. There is just something about eating lava cake while watching beluga whales that is amazing!
