This enclosure has changed so much since the first time I saw it, not long after it opened. It was pretty bare in those days, just grassy hummocks and tree stumps/trunks etc.( as when the 'Jambo & the boy' videos were shot) With more tree/shrub planting it has matured considerably over the years since then.
Agree, its well overdue for an overhaul. A wider public passageway and larger show dens would help. But with only five animals in total they don't really need a major extension at present.

Actually, according to the husbandry guide that was written by our very own Richard Johnstone-Scott, we can't house another female (which we think we need to try and dilute Kahilli's domineering effect on the group) until we expand the indoor area. It's a pretty pressing requirement, otherwise we'll have to move Bahasha on, which none of us want.
