The whole family - female, Bahasha has taken the spot against the wall just vacated by Silverback, Badongo. Females, Hlala Kahili and Kishka are following Badongo with little Indigo bringing up the rear.
Bahasha has recently become the dominant female in the group, after being below Indigo in the rankings, and is now Badongo's favourite. Hlala Kahili is Indigo's mother and Kishka is the respected elder.

Shinda, a female without offspring was the dominant female for years. Keepers said she was even above the silverback, Richard, in the hierarchy. They were happy about this as Shinda was cooperative with keepers and often lead the group inside if required.
About a year ago, she was supplanted by an older female, Kamba (also without offspring), and her half sister, Kijuvu (who has two offspring in the group).
Since the birth of Shinda's first offspring, her ranking is expected to rise as Richard has been very protective of her.
