Crane?

White naped Crane (thanks Kakapo) with an unfortunate amputation of the end of his very long beak via my camera lens.

Grus vipio (White-naped crane), a big and very well known species.

Poor bird! It can eat normally?

Thanks Kapapo, I will update the file so I don't appear quite so stupid

I do believe my amputation of the tip of his beak was accidental and temporary I believe he is now back to full health. He just wouldnt listen to my pleas asking him to move back a little so I could get him totally in the shot.
