Edinburgh Hippo House

I'll bet that the hippo(s) is inside most of the time as Edinburgh is definitely a cold weather zoo.

Thats a very sturdy looking pygmy hippo building, does anyone know what it housed before this species?

It was built in the late 70's/early 80's and has always held pygmy hippo, for which it was built for.
It also has a small indoor enclosure opposite the hippos, which i think holds some tortoises at the moment and has held rhinoceros iguanas in the past.
There is also a window into the cassowaries indoor area.
