Recent Departures Board at Exmoor Zoo - January 28th 2013

Although evidentally only updated every year or so, and not updated yet this year, this board was very informative in discovering where several taxa had departed to, and where several taxa at other collections had arrived from.

Some bigger zoos should take note.

People like to know the latest comings and goings.

The thing I find most interesting is 1.1 fanaloka, I didn't actually realise they had a pair! Fingers crossed for breeding. :)

And I agree with BongoRob, it is nice for the public to be kept informed.

The best thing that I noticed looking at the three boards was that although the rusty-spotted cats were only at Exmoor for about a year between arriving from Parc des Felins and leaving for RSCC, they successfully bred :) which as a lover of small carnivores is always good news.

I didn't even notice that, I was just excited by a possible breeding pair of fanaloka! :D

Being as the breeding pair is at RSCC, it isn't like you'll be seeing them anytime soon ;)

I know, it is the departure board... ;)

But if they breed them then surely there is a bit more of a chance they hit a public collection! :p
