Yes, that is correct. The two females arrived from West Midland Safari Park when "The Lost Kingdom" was opened. One was pregnant and gave birth to the male. The male was castrated during one of the zoo's winter seasons and I happened to be visiting that very day. The operation featured on one of vet Matt Brash's television programmes, either "Zoo Vet" or "Zoo Vet At Large". At the time at least it was a very rare operation to perform with a poor history of success (survival I presume), and I think some specialist vets were involved too.
