Good photo.. how rocky is their 'paddock' ?! Looks part of a building site with all the mud and rocks. Of all the land the Zoo had, they stuck them on a tiny, muddy, moated enclosure.
As far as I remember the house was occupied before the paddock was added - do you remember this? The first Elephants I saw in that house were three African calves. There was a buzz around the park that day, visitors saying "there are three of them" etc, so we followed the crowds and hey presto the first Elephants for a while (for some time the cashiers at the gates had been apologising for the lack of Elephants).
