There were thousands in Bridligton too. A lady in the house at the back saw them and was shouting "wasps, wasps"! We had ladybird races at school and I had a real champion orange and black one called "Thickno" that shot along the desks. It mysteriously disappeared. There's still a lot of ladybirds here at the moment.
