The legendary blackbuck herd was the leading attraction of Dublin Zoo for many years.I would say D.Z. lost 50% of its charm when their area was turned into a worse than useless snow leopard enclosure and has never quite recovered from this blunder.
A large Blackbuck herd is always an impressive sight in any Zoo. Sadly in the UK they have dwindled both in numbers, and the numbers of collections still keeping them. West Midlands Safari Park is probably now the only place with a really sizeable herd(over fifty)
