Its good to hear FL are rehoming theirs like this. I know there can be problems integrating them into a larger group, but it can be done successfully- in most cases at least. The result is the Chimps are far better off socially and provide their own enrichment just by increased numbers- and obviously form a better display for people too.

Actually the improvements at Blair Drumond are nothing to do with the preposed arrival on the Flamingoland Chimps,it was done to improve the conditions for there own Chimps that used to be shut in over winter,in a very small house which if memorys serves me correctly isn't much over 12 foot square if that.

For the quotes to work properly there needs to be a pair of square brackets at the beginning
e.g. before and after QUOTE=Nisha;529618
and a pair of square brackets at the end
e.g. before and after /QUOTE
When you edited the text you were quoting, you accidentally removed the closing square bracket after QUOTE=Nisha;529618 - and that's why it didn't work.

I don't believe there is. There group has deteriorated over the years, I remember them having a group of five or six a few years ago. I believe Blair Drummond SP now have a group of five.
No, there are no Chimps left - I've just posted a photo of the sign on the exhibit. I was told today that they have already integrated into the group at Blair Drummond.
