I thought they were just going to shut the house. Last year I heard it was possibly going to be demolished, but there was the problem of the space it would leave.
I visited today and noticed a sign which read: "The reptile collection is being down-sized and a new exhibit is due to be built at the Children's planet area. Many of the reptiles have been moved to other zoological collections in preparation for this new project." I'll have a photo of it uploaded soon.
I noticed quite a few displays were empty, including the poison dart frogs and the display next to the monitor was empty as well. The snapping turtles (one common and two alligator), pythons and a monitor were still on display.
