I think they are "zoo Giraffes" with possible multiple hybridisation over a long period of time. I remember when the second and third Giraffes of the modern era (i.e. from 2003 when this Giraffe House was opened) arrived a keeper said to me "they are supposed to be Reticulated but I think they are 'zoo Giraffes'." I think "zoo Giraffes" used to be very much the norm in the UK and I suspect in many other countries too.
