While I don't know what this space really looks like, or what animals are kept here, or how large each of these adjacent enclosures may be....given all of that...the look of the space, the undulating path, and the huge snake that kids can touch is great fun. In short: I like it
That some herpophobes (?) would be very uneasy here only adds to its charms
It's not that old - it was built in the mid-90's. While the exhibits are large and well-done, the problem with this area is that it is easily congested on weekends and school holidays. Even on slow days I have had trouble trying to slip past people to get to the staff door. Strollers are a pain, and double strollers a nightmare!
But as I said, from a display point of view, it's pretty good.
And the exhibit UrMumsAGoat is referring to house the Retic.
