Nice shot PA. all the yaers I lived on Tyneside I never got to Malton, mind you I didn't drive then so that limited out of the way places a bit, not that i like to drive far now either....
Thank-you Dean. Mmm, driving! Of course I did not start to learn until December 2003 when I had just turned 42, and then after eventually passing my test in October 2005 all I did was finish the batch of lessons I had booked and then do Pass Plus. Each time I was running for the bus in Kirby Misperton in 2006 I was thinking it should not have been like that any more, and then to cap it all when I got back to Bempton Railway Station after my final visit of the season my bike had been stolen (at least it was only my reserve one) and I had to walk home along the country roads (shades of Olivia Newton John) in the dark. After nine years I have now had 24 refresher lessons and still have a long way to go. I had said to my friend's daughter that it is not practical for me to go to F L on a Saturday during winter opening as by the time I have gone for my cream scones (a time-honoured ritual of over 25 years) I cannot get there by public transport until lunchtime. She pointed out that if I drove I could do both. I still think it's a bit of a fantasy though.
