Probably my second favourite parrot, after Pesquet's. One of my most rewarding zoo visits was in May 1977 when I wnet to Chester zoo and saw this species for the first time. They were in the sadly missed Oakfield aviaries.
I do like this species - definitely my favourite mini macaw. Flamingo Land has a good flock of them in the "Parrotsphere", although I'd prefer them in their own aviary.
