On one of my visits over Christmas and the New Year I was told it was definitely going to be Black Rhinos and this would save on constructing a pool, however a few days later I heard it was still up in the air but if some specific Black Rhinos were taken on it would lead to Indians in the future.

Yes it does say Indian on the latest leaflet, but that was wishful thinking on Flamingoland`s behalf, "Parrots Andrew" does know what he is talking about.
Yes, it is going to be blacks. I asked today. The decision not to get Indians was a recent one, even though had been offered some. They are hoping for blacks early this year and will keep the whites for the time being. Who else has white and black rhinos in the same zoo?

Thank-you Nanook. I was not making up what I was told by members of the zoo staff!
The 2013 season leaflet had Indian Rhinos arriving that year, but...............and as Nanook observes the current (winter) leaflet says "Indian Rhinos new for 2015", again but.............. The zoo did undertake preliminary investigations into getting Black Rhinos a few years ago but did not pursue it at that stage. Then, they would have replaced the White Rhinos.
