Thanks for the photos, and the mural looks better than the actual exhibit! I was waiting for a fellow ZooChatter to upload photos of this new development, and there is certainly a "home-made" feel to the new penguin area. Everything is rather basic and simple, with a giant blue shed in the background rather than a Patagonian beach landscape. Money might not buy happiness but it will purchase a rather grand penguin habitat as proved by London just last year. Anyway, Folly Farm could probably argue that they have the best penguin exhibit in the nation as the establishment is situated in Wales. The zoo's website even states that it has "the only giraffes in Wales" and that statement could more than likely apply to a number of other species as well. All in all penguins are a great addition for a small zoo and I'm sure that the summer crowds will appreciate the antics of the black-and-white swimming maestros.
