This cat, Agnes, is the oldest of the three Savannah Cats which are now held by Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre. As with many savannah cats, it is likely that the domestic component of her lineage is Egyptian Mau. However, extensive observation of this animal as she moved around the enclosure, as well as prolonged and close-up views of her facial structure, makes me extremely certain than she is a F1 hybrid - that is to say, one of her parents was a pure serval, and the other a domestic cat, possibly with some wild genes of its own.
