Eastern Aardwolf (Proteles cristatus septentrionalis) at Hamerton Zoo Park

Unlike the eastern population, this subspecies is now represented in a few European collections, and is more gracile in build when compared to P. c. cristatus, as well as having shorter and paler fur. This individual recently arrived from the Rare Species Conservation Centre.
