This was my first viewing after several previous half-hearted attempts. This time around, I happened to be there on a quiet weekday afternoon -- the only school party of the day had just left, and there was hardly anyone else around. The sun was out, but it wasn't overly warm.

I thought I'd try sitting on the bench outside the sloth house and waiting quietly -- luckily, no-one else was in that area at the time. Eventually, the rock cavies appeared, for a few seconds each time, several times. Although, if anyone did appear (moving) within 20 metres or so, then they were gone inside in a flash.

This shot was taken (admittedly with quite a long lens) from that bench. The other, closer, photo which I posted in the gallery from the same day, was taken by crouching very low to the ground, directly in front of the enclosure, and waiting motionless for several minutes. Luckily no-one wandered by in that time, otherwise they would surely have wondered what on earth I was doing! :)
