Bukhara Deer

I reckon these beasts are more impressive than the Red Deer?

Anyone know if they imported more females, as mentioned earlier this year, to rebuild this herd again, or is it still 2.2 (or was it 3.1)?

Thanks a lot Joker. The HWP is a great place to get some shots without the intrusion of fences and the like.

Not just an impressive buck, but a truly impressive photo. The framing and composition is perfect - the way he is off center (rule of thirds) and looking into the frame and the flowers at the base and nice even light - simply stunning!

I went back yesterday but unfortunately, due to ice, the main park drive through was closed so no chance to see this magnificent animal again, not that there was any guarantee that I would see him anyway. Will try again in a few days time.

However I did get to see their Red Pandas, Lynx and Pallas Cat for the first time in the walk around area.
